Ao dai collection opens Paris Fashion Week-Haute Couture 2018

HCM City (VNA) – Hanoi-based engineer Do Trinh Hoai Nam’s ao dai (Vietnamese
dress) collection, called Women in Love, will open a Paris Fashion Week-Haute
Couture 2018 on Jan 23.

The collection facilities 30 ao dai in silk and satin done in France
and Italy. The designs use patterns from Gothic stained potion in a Notre Dame
Cathedral in Paris.

“Each pattern of my collection, value 10,000-20,000 USD, was done by Vietnamese
artisans over a six-month period,” pronounced 42-year-old Nam.

Nam will accept full financial support for transport and a catwalk
participation from a event’s organisers.

In September, Nam attended a 26th Couture Fashion Week New York. His ao
dai collection, Sen Vang (Golden Lotus), non-stop a event,
together with dual designers from Asian countries.

The designs used Vietnamese silk and satin by learned artisans from Ha Dong in
Hanoi as good as Thai Binh and Lam Dong provinces.  

They have normal images from a 19th century and are festooned with
images of lotuses and H2O puppets.

Born in Hanoi, Nam started his career as a tailor in his village, Xuan Dinh,
which is famous for trade products. 

In 2003, he rose to celebrity after winning a Vietnam Collection Grand Prix 2014
presented by a Vietnam Design Institute and became one of a finalists at
Mercedes Benz Asia Fashion Week 2014.

Nam has attended heading conform events during home and abroad. His ao dai collections
have consistently tender Vietnamese and foreigners.

His superb and eye-catching pieces, regulating high-quality silk, satin, string and
line, are deliberate glamorous.

He has worked with film stars and cocktail idols and now owns a mantle and fashion
company as good as a indication agency. 

Nam’s shops in Hanoi and northern provinces offer around 80 designs and
accessories each, with a new collection any year.-VNA
